The brief for this motion graphics piece was to use only typography, no other shapes or imagery. I chose two fonts to match the characters from the Rick and Morty clip being showcased in the aim of keeping the conversation clear to the viewer, showing expression and ideas through distorting the fonts, instead of including others.
The process involved story-boarding, researching and learning techniques to get the desired shots, all working with Adobe After Effects.
These are some clips taken from a hobby video I made about the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I used Premiere Pro to edit the footage, drawing layers in Photoshop and adding them in place of typical type.
This piece was designed by another team member, but animated by myself in After Effects, as part of a larger whimsical piece.
